Hemingway – the App, not the Author

Hemingway PosterI have the image to your left here blown up and framed on my wall, because I think it’s great. Whether or not it’s actually true for my writing, I cannot say. Well, I can say, but I won’t. Names changed to protect the foolish, and all that. I’ve never read any of his books — I know, I know — but I still admire the man’s capability. After all, he wrote* the most intriguing shortest story (aka flash fiction) I’ve seen in a long time:

For sale: baby shoes, never worn.

There’s a lot to learn about the man, but that’s not why we’re here today. I wanted to introduce my readers/fans/fellow auteurs to a unique app I’ve come across that I’m going to be testing out. Whether it helps or not… well, you be the judge. To each his own, as they say. I’m interested to see what it says about my writing, given I’m somewhat verbose.

The app is called, as I mentioned above, “Hemingway,” and you can find it here: http://hemingwayapp.com/ Try it out, and then come back and tell me what you thought in the comments. I’m curious to see how much use the rest of you get out of this tool.

*So maybe he didn’t write it, maybe he did. No one knows. But I’m going to credit him, anyway.
